Our Hawaiian vacation / expired 35mm

Aloha everyone!

This is a quick blog post of some RAD expired 35mm film images I captured on our Hawaiian Spring Break vacation.

I decided to bring just 2 point and shoot type film cameras, my Lomo LC-W (Russian toy camera) and my Canon WP-1 (underwater camera)

I had recently bought a huge box of expired 35mm film, and took a few rolls with me, knowing that this was a complete experiment, some images may not turn out, I was still willing to take the adventure.

These 32 frames made me SO happy!

Keanu and Jasmine were swimming and playing with their cousins ’round the clock, it was truly incredible to experience it with them.

THANK YOU to the Napoleons’ for their warmest ALOHA, LOVE, and care for us that week!

xoxo Dana

  1. Awesome site Dana! I love the Hawaiian tree shot, the books in the window, the black & white woman with suitcase, and the Fish Brewery, to name just a few of my favorites… there are several I will consider asking to purchase prints of when I get my new place!!!

I am so happy to be documenting life on 35mm film ! Excited to keep going ! 🙂
